A unique artisan surface hand crafted with thick textured paper. Perfect for achieving a traditional style Chinoiserie design. 

India tea paper pays homage to the rich history of wallpapers crafted from hand-pieced squares, which evolved into classic Chinese wallpaper designs.

To achieve an aged look, lightly sand the surface of the paper for instant charm.

Each pack contains two classic blue, and two neutral ivory sheets. 

This paper is made by hand in small batches. Minor imperfections are to be expected. 

Your pack will contain 4 sheets (2 blue, 2 neutral)

Each sheet measures 45.5 x 31.5 cm (17.9 x 12.4 inches)

Most sheets will show the pieced paper joints, but some may be plain

Paint glides on creating a luxurious finish

Can build up layers and add fine details

Can be lightly sanded with fine sandpaper to achieve an aged look

Can be dyed to any colour with a thin watered down coat of paint (one that does not move when wet, such as acrylic paint).

Can be used with a variety of paint types but I mostly love gouache and watercolour.

This surface can accept extremely watered down paint.

Plan your design in advance and transfer to the tea paper when you are happy with the composition. The delicate surface may become damaged if you use an eraser too harshly. 

Arrives to you flat in a robust cardboard envelope.
