I’m absolutely in love with the silk paper. I‘ve seen so many raving reviews but it took me many months to finally have the courage to paint on it. I wanted to practise on hot pressed papers first until I have the confident to try the silk paper. This is definitely a game charger for me. Looking forward to paint on these silk papers in future. Thank you so much Diane for the lovely gift. I love them so much.

Well today I got brave enough to use a four and a half inch square of my brand new silk paper for my first experience on silk and wow was I excited by the experience! With a bit more training from Diane I will I feel confident anyway learn how to do a better job of blending particularly while using this amazing material I was able to do lots of color mixing in real time on the silk paper, to put a layer of color over a darker color, and to experiment with different ways of trying to convey texture. I absolutely love painting on silk and wish I had tried this decades ago!

I have not used my silk paper yet I can see how beneficial it's going to be but I want to wait till my skills have improved. This is the 14th study I have painted since discovering Diane Hill; it is also my first A3 piece. I have a feeling that once I start using silk paper nothing else will do!

This is the first time I have ever painted on silk and it is amazing just ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️it ! Such beautiful flow with the brushes and such smooth blending. It is a real treat to use and the look and feel of the silk is exceptional. Just so beautiful 🥰😍Not sure I can go back to hotpress paper again 🤔

This silk paper is absolutely beautiful! It’s amazing to paint on and gives your artwork a lovely finish. I signed up to Diane’s Chinoiserie art course which I can’t recommend highly enough, Diane is a great teacher and very generous with her time if you have any particular struggles or questions.

What a dream it was to paint on this super quality silk paper. I often paint on other silk surfaces but this one is so fine that the paint flows with ease. Highly recommended for beginners or professionals.

I was like a child waiting for my silk paper, and when it finally arrived I immediately started my chinoiserie. I was completely inspired by the fabulous Diana Hill. The paper was perfectly and professionally sealed in a tube for protection. I rolled it out and brought out my gouache paint. I am already working on my next order, being from the states this type of paper is hard to acquire. I am so happy to have found Diana IG page because I now have the freedom to express my art through the art of chinoiserie.

Just ordered more of Diane's silk paper. This time it is a brighter white as described. Whether white or cream (as used in the attached photo), it is beautiful. Don't hesitate to buy her paper and give this art form a try!

Not as scary as I thought it would be! It’s quite forgiving actually. I made a few mistakes, went over it with a white base layer and started again. The paper holds up very well, with no compromise to the surface after repeated brush strokes. I’m going to try something bigger now! Thanks for coming up with these papers Diane - I finally can get my Chinoiserie fix 😆 🌸

Don't hesitate to buy this lovely paper! Diane sent the six very large sheets along with several practice pieces - one 4 inch by 4 inch. That was a great size for a trial, which I really appreciated. Painting on silk paper was as much fun as I had imagined, and I am so grateful to have found a source. Thank you, Diane, for not only sharing your wonderful art, but for also helping fellow artists.

I finally treated myself to myself to these large sheets of silk paper. The most luxurious medium Ever! 🙏🏼 Upscales any project ✨✨✨ The silk absorbs watercolor, ink, gouache, pen and pencil in beautiful ways. Not to mention the texture is incredible. There is also a gorgeous inherent sparkle to silk that shows in certain light ✨✨✨ I have used the small strips you sent as a tester for watercolor and ink. And found when layering my blue inks spread more than others but it could be my product 🤷🏻♀️ Being a mixed media/sewing nut this paper satisfies all my senses! I highly recommend!! 👏👏👏 Also easy transaction, careful packaging and super fast delivery.

This is a stunning material, full of possibilities ! Painting on this prepared silk is such a gratifying experience. I couldn't wait to try one of the sample sheets that Diane generously provided : no bleeding, perfect for sharp lines as well as for more expressive designs. It is so beautiful and so precious that I decided to turn my test into a cover for a little notebook, and it is PERFECT also to use as cover cloth : no need to prepare the back of the silk as it is already sized with paper. Crisp folding, very simple to use with glue. I am in love with this. It is very high quality. Now I want to try this with botanical paintings ;) Thank you so much Diane, for offering this !

This is my fourth order and snapping up these incredible sheets while I can. As a professional illustrator the quality of materials are an investment I spend a lot of time and money researching and this is THE BEST. Colour intensity is on another level, no bleeding… I’m addicted

I was on vacation when my paper arrived and I have finally had the time to paint with this amazing silk paper. I am so happy that the small samples were included so I could practice before I started a painting. There is a small learning curve because I normally use gouache on cotton cold pressed paper. Wow! The colors are so vibrant and the texture of the paper is do different. Absolutely love it! Thank you Diane!

PreOrder experience was an easy process and once it had been shipped to Australia it was only a few weeks to wait! The silk paper itself is just divine to watercolour on and I have a feeling I will find it hard to ever paint on anything else!!! The paint is just drawn into its surface easily, smoothly and is a joy to experience. I will 100% order again from Diane.

The silk paper is! I used to paint on silk years ago but you needed to use a resist to outline and stop the paint bleeding. This paper is just magic. I’m totally in love! Thanks again for making it available. Hope you restock soon!

Just got my silk paper sheets today and they are just sublime! Not only beautifully packaged, the silk itself is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious to the feel. It's so much easier painting chinoiserie on this surface: the paint just glides on, making the completed piece flow better and therefore look better! The silk paper was part of a prize I won after completing a short course - I cannot tell you how grateful I am - thank you so much!

I do not believe there is anything else like it. The experience is like no other, the way the paint moves on it. So Yummy! Worth waiting for. Just wish I had bought more at the time.

Hello! I have received my silk paper and can't wait to try it. I am currently enrolled in Diane's painting Chinoiserie course and I am enjoying the process very much. However, I am not yet ready to advance to the silk paper. I will certainly share the results of my work soon.
