The East Indian Trading Company would commission pieces of artwork in India to bring back to the UK for sale. Subjects were often one key focal point – a bird, a flower, a piece of fruit – with an insane amount of detail. The Botanical Collection was my homage to the stunning levels of intricacy achieved by these exceptional artists.
