I am ending 2020 in a really special way, by raising money for a truly deserving cause. Haven House Children’s Hospice has supported hundreds of families, looking after children and young people, from birth, who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

I have designed a chinoiserie art print to help raise funds to support the hospice during this very tough year; the pandemic has meant they have been unable to plan their usual fundraising events.

This project came about through a family connection to a wonderful volunteer, H, who has been helping the hospice consistently for over 15 years.

Donations to the hospice go towards respite day and overnight care, specialist equipment, physiotherapy, music therapy, counselling and so much more. The building is set in peaceful grounds and is a happy place with lots of engaging activities for children. At Christmas time the volunteers normally organise a party for the children but this year they are visiting each child at their home with Santa to bring them gifts!

It costs £14,000 per day to run Haven House, so they rely on volunteers like H who dedicate so much time and energy to help with fundraising and organising events. Thank goodness there are people in the world like H!

Here's Annabelle's story...

The money raised from this charity art print will go towards helping families like Annabelle’s feel supported through the most difficult time.

I also hope that the artwork on your wall will be a reminder of the love and support that shines through Haven House.

I chose the song ‘Dream A Little Dream Of Me’ because it exudes beauty and love in every lyric, with every soft velvety note. This charity art print is my painted expression of this song, a reminder to yourself or someone else that they are loved always.

Thank you all for reading this far, your support means the world. If this charity art print isn’t for you then I would be grateful for any donations directly to Haven House, you can make a one off donation or set up a regular monthly donation. You can donate here.
